Self discovery is a journey that every body will embark upon at some point in their life. It is important to find out the reason why you are here and what your destiny is. It is also important to begin your journey to fulfill your destiny.
To start this journey, as any other journey in life, you need to know where you are right now and where the destination you want to arrive. It is like having a map. Here are the advice I have that you can follow to create your own map.
Knowing your values
Your values are what shape the way you think, act and believe. What fascinating about value is that each and every one of us has different set of values. It is like fingerprint. You and I have our own set of values and they are not the same. Two things we must understand here are knowing our own values and embracing it.
Once we know what’s important the most in our lives, we need to start prioritizing it so we can live according to our own values. That’s to we embrace them.
Embrace change and get out of your comfort zone.
We cannot find our destiny in our comfort zone. In fact, the comfort zone is a prison. It’s like a ship is not supposed to park at the harbor all the time but rather to explore and take on new trips. Everything in the universe is constantly moving and changing. So we are. Every day we change, even when you don’t notice it. Millions if not billions of new cells are born and replaced.
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” – Neale Donald Walsch
As the saying goes, if you want something you’ve never had, you need to do something you’ve never done before. You have been in your own comfortable environment for a long time haven’t you? And you are not satisfied with it. How do I know? Because growth is what creates satisfaction and growth can never be found in the comfort zone.
Create the ultimate vision and destiny for your life
Once you are clear with your own values committed to grow outside of your comfort zone, it’s time to create a vision for your life. At Tony Robbins Date With Destiny event, he taught me to find my strengths and visions, and that’s how I create my own. If you are serious and committed about living your own destiny, I encourage you to see Anthony Robbins at one of his DWD live events. It will change your life.
Remember, in life you can either be the creator or the passive receiver. Either you live life on your own terms or someone else’s terms. Either you make things happen or you watch others make things happen. There’s no other way around.
The day I decided to stop making excuses and reclaim my own power is the day that I turned my life around, and I want the same for you. It is going to be hard, you are going to make tough decisions. But if you don’t, then you will regret. You have only one life to live, why not live it to the fullest?
